My name is Allison Harris, I am 30 years old, and I have lost 103 pounds since 11-29-17.  After the first year, I lost a bit of steam in my weightloss pursuits, and have stalled out since then.

When I saw the Glow Run 5K supporting the Downtown Rescue Mission I felt in my spirit, and knew this was the perfect opportunity to recommit to my weightloss journey.  The Downtown Rescue Mission does so much to help our community, and I am grateful to have an opportunity to raise money for them as I pursue my personal health goals as well.

On the Downtown Rescue Missions Website you can see all the amazing things they do for the community around us.  Including: Feeding, Clothing, and providing Shelter to those in need.  Christ Centered Recovery Programs for Men and Women overcoming addictions, as well as mental, emotional, and physical abuse situations seeking to "restore individuals through teaching and modeling solid, Biblical principals and truths in which they can rebuild their lives.". (Quote taken from the Downtown Rescue Mission's website.) And so, so much more!  Please Consider donating and helping me reach my fundraising goal of $500 for this amazing ministry in our community.

I was doing really well training for this 5K, and then I got sick.  I haven't been able to train in almost 2 weeks, but I am determined as ever to reach this goal, and raise funds for such a deserving and wonderful ministry.
