Hi everybody-- I just wanted to tell you about an event I’m participating in and to ask if you’d be interested in supporting it. It’s an online fundraiser called the Danforth Center Grow Challenge
I strongly believe in the Center’s work and their mission to improve the human condition through plant science. Through research and innovation, Danforth Center scientists are working to create food security for millions of people and to bring about a better, more sustainable world… both in St. Louis and around the world. We also help with education and outreach programs in St. Louis schools, promoting STEAM education.
Last year, when COVID-19 forced the cancellation of in-person events, the Danforth Center Young Friends launched an online giving campaign called the Danforth Center Grow Challenge. Through the generosity of our community, they raised $45,000. This year, they are hoping to beat that record by raising $50,000.
