It’s that time of year again for our B’s Knees walk team to put our passion and energy together again to help raise funds for our local chapter The Hemophilia Association of the Capital Area. This year the walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 2nd. From 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Lake Accotink Park in Springfield, Virginia. Last year was a difficult year for all of us to gather. This year, barring any unforeseen circumstances, we are scheduled to walk at our regular site at the Lake Accotink lakeside pavilion. The day will start with check-ins starting at 8:30 AM. As in the past, there will be games for the kids, event sponsors to visit and a picnic lunch. Bring some cash for a 50-50 raffle and bid on a chance to throw a pie in the face of our Executive Director and Board of Directors President.
CDC guidelines will be followed regarding masks and social distancing at the event. There will be masks and hand sanitizer available.
As in the past, funds raised help support a variety of programs to include patient assistance, parent support groups, scholarship program, research, medic alert emblems for adults and children and other important programming. Please join us!
