Join the Edwards and O'Dells in making a difference for Richmond Youth! Take a hike for kids and enjoy a fun-filled fall Saturday exploring the magnificent James River Park system. Blue Sky Fund brings outdoor education and adventure to our city youth in a way that no one else does. If you are a lover of the outdoors, come join us to make sure every kid in Richmond has the same access and opportunity!

Why I Hike for Kids

I believe that all children deserve to learn, play and grow outside, which is why on Saturday, October 21, I plan to #TakeAHikeForKids to support Blue Sky Fund, a local Richmond nonprofit that connects youth to the outdoors.

Blue Sky provides over 42,000 hours of outdoor time for 2,000 Richmond youth, 79% of whom come from under-resourced. communities and a majority of whom identify as youth of color. Through resilience building, leadership development, and outdoor science education, they work to advance equity in the outdoors by developing diverse groups of environmental stewards and leaders in our community.
