Let's hike with our hearts!
On Saturday, October 7, I'll be leading a team on a hike at Lake Accotink, a beautiful and accessible 3.9-mile loop in Springfield. I'Il be spending time with friends, getting some fresh air, and raising funds for older kids in foster care in the U.S. and abroad.
One of the things I am excited to support is Kidsave's work in Ukraine. Their programs have already helped rescue 30,000 people. Kidsave is also rebuilding families by moving orphans from institutions or homelessness to loving homes inside Ukraine.
I'm honored to join Kidsave as its DC Director. I arrive just as Kidsave marks 25 years of helping older kids in foster care find forever families. Kidsave has positively impacted the lives of more than 560,000 children worldwide.
