IAYN 2021 Party FAQs
Who: You! You’re invited (assuming you’re an adult)! And all your friends and neighbors, the entire Common Pantry community and everyone else too. Again, assuming they’re adults. Ticketed guests must be 21+.
What: I Am Your Neighbor 2021, A Transformation Celebration is back LIVE at Artifact Events. IAYN 2021 will also include a VIRTUAL program for neighbors near and far who prefer to celebrate from home. The live party will feature three live bands and a dance floor, small bites from our favorite local eateries and beverages from local breweries, distilleries and other supportive partners. The virtual program will feature special guests from throughout the Common Pantry community recounting how Common Pantry has transformed their lives and sharing why they are so excited for all the powerful transformations to come.
Everyone who attends--live or online--can view--can view and bid on our vibrant live art show items and extensive online auction. Plus, support the Common Pantry Wishlist, sponsor the popular Hot Lunch Program and discover other ways to engage or direct your support. And all IAYN 2021 attendees will get details and maybe even a sneak peek preview of plans for our new Common Pantry home.

Where: Artifact Events, 4325 N. Ravenswood, South Entrance -- on Ravenswood just south of Montrose on the east side of the railroad tracks.
When: The LIVE party happens on Friday October 1, 2021 from 7pm to 11pm -- doors will open at 6:30. The VIRTUAL program will stream on October 1, 2021 at 7pm.
How can I stay informed about IAYN happenings? We encourage everyone to register for IAYN 2021 at commonpantry.org! If you register, we can keep you informed about things you may be interested in, such as when tickets go on sale, when the silent auction is posted and when it goes live, and when the virtual program is about to start. Also, if you register, we can let you know about any changes necessitated by the ever-changing Covid landscape (e.g. masks: Will they be required? And will we provide them?). We promise not to inundate you with advertisements or stupid stuff!!
What about Covid-19? Common Pantry is absolutely committed to the safety of our community! We will strictly enforce CDC and Chicago Department of Public Health guidelines and regulations.
Ok. So. Can unvaccinated folk attend the IAYN live party? No. You must be fully vaccinated (under the CDC definition) to attend the IAYN party at Artifact Events. If you are unvaccinated or otherwise at-risk for infection, we would love for you to join us via the virtual program!
Will masks be required at the live IAYN party? Maybe. The Covid landscape is ever-changing. Either way, Common Pantry will provide all attendees a fun and effective mask. Also, please register at commonpantry.org and we will update you as needed -- but without inundating you, we promise! -- about our efforts to keep everyone safe.
How much do tickets to the live party cost? $125
When will I be able to buy tickets? Tickets will go on sale August 20.
What is the recommended dress code for the party? Comfortable & fun! Come ready to eat, drink and dance.
Which bands are gonna play? First up will be Things that Fly, which made its debut at the first IAYN party!! Next, Larry Brown Band will swing with us again and finally Simpletones, which also performed its inaugural show at the first IAYN party, will perform two rockin sets (or one long one, who knows).
How much does it cost to watch the virtual program? Absolutely nothing! But please register for the event so you can participate in the silent auction or support the pantry's hot lunch program and wishlist.
Are kids permitted to attend the IAYN 2021 live party? No. All ticketed guests must be at least 21 years old with a valid photo ID.
When will I be able to see items in the silent auction? We will post silent auction packages on Monday September 20. Please register at commonpantry.org and we will text you when auction packages are ready to see. (We will post them all at one time, so you won’t be deluged with individual package notifications!)
When will the silent auction open for bids? The IAYN 2021 auction will have a rolling open. Bidding on the first set of packages will begin on Monday September 20 when the auction is posted; the full auction will open a week later on Monday September 27.
What payment methods are acceptable? The event platform -- where you’ll buy tickets, register and access the silent auction, Common Pantry wishlist and hot lunch sponsorships -- accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AmEx and eCheck.
