I have been a member of the JFCS community for a few years. I started as a volunteer in the food pantry during Covid . And now I am a proud member of the JFCS team. I began my new position as the Food Program Outreach Coordinator last September. I have the privilege of seeing the impact of our services in real time. I have made and have distributed bags at our on-site pantry, assisted at mobile distributions, volunteered at our Kosher Cafe, and have made several Kosher Meals on Wheels deliveries.
What I am most proud of is that I have introduced JFCS to a number of friends and they are now regular volunteers at our food pantry.
Each bag of groceries, each meal, is a lifeline to those we serve. JFCS is reaching record-breaking levels of service.Last month we provided 1500 bags of groceries.

JFCS has seen a dramatic increase in demand for food programs over the past year, including:
- More seniors turning to the Kosher Cafe and Kosher Meals on Wheels for supplemental meals
- The Mobile Food Pantry making over 30 stops per month
- The on-site brick-and-mortar pantry seeing nearly 3x as many families per month vs 2023
