Join me in my effort to raise money for the SebastianStrong Foundation during Kayaking the Keys for Hope!

I was inspired to join the Kayaking the Keys for Hope Road Crew when I watched my brother-in-love lose his best friend, Sebastian, to pediatric cancer. While I did not personally know him, I am touched by Oscar, Rose, Oscar and Lucas' eternal love for Sebastian and their commitment to finding less toxic and more targeted forms of treatment for all children in this battle. When I became a parent I suddenly understood the lengths you’d go to hold your baby for 1 more second, a day, a week, a month, a year… to this day I pray my child is healthy and push any thoughts of illness or pain away as far as possible. This is a privileged mindset. A mindset parents and families in this battle can’t afford. They have to fight every second. I am part of the team to fight that families on this journey get more. More time. More peace. More life with their babies. There aren’t enough options for children in this battle. Definitely no options that are good enough, and if you know the Ortiz’s you see the change that they will bring through that eternal love and passion I was talking about.
