Last year, Lila joined me on the water for the first time, paddling the 20 mile journey on Day Four from Bahia Honda to Sugarloaf Key. While Lila and I paddled, we found ourselves pondering the same question we ask this time each year: What if our future child gets cancer? Would we be okay with the 40-year old treatment options available? The answer was, and still is, a resounding NO.

Well, little did Lila and I know a few months later, we would welcome our firstborn son, Caleb, into the world! While she and I are thrilled for the arrival of our little one, we also understand the realities of childhood cancer can now impact our family. However, rather than be afraid, this has only fueled our desire to partner with Sebastian Strong to bring HOPE and CHANGE to the childhood cancer landscape. Thanks to your support, we have already seen progress in treatment options like CAR-T cell therapy that targets cancer cells and the launch of My Childhood Cancer Navigator, a designated support service for families batttling childhood cancer.

While Lila and I weren't on the water this year, we are still so excited to champion this cause and support these precious families.
