Brookie’s Brigade is walking and fundraising for DreamFest 2026, a celebration of people with Down syndrome, their families, and the community that believes in them.

Brookie is the heart behind so much of what I do. She is my reason, my inspiration, and the reason I am so passionate about the work of Kern Down Syndrome Network. Because of her, I have seen firsthand how much it matters for families to feel supported, for children and adults with Down syndrome to be included, and for our community to understand the value, abilities, and joy that people with Down syndrome bring into the world.

I want a better, more connected, more inclusive Kern County for Brookie, for her friends, and for every person with Down syndrome who deserves to be seen, celebrated, supported, and given opportunities to thrive.

DreamFest is personal to our family because it brings that vision to life. It is more than a walk or a fundraiser. It is a day filled with joy, connection, celebration, and purpose — a day where individuals with Down syndrome are honored for exactly who they are.
