Thank you for joining my efforts to raise funds for two of my favorite nonprofits! GenerateHope and UPLIFT exist to make transformative impact in lives of vulnerable San Diegans.I believe in both organizations wholeheartedly.
I am the owner of Salon for Women in Mission Valley and have been a beauty industry professional for 11 years. At SWF we strive to lift all women to their best potential, to know without question their precious value & to bring the brilliant beauty of God's love shining through every soul. GenerateHope is very special to me in their work to end human and sex trafficking which is so destructive to women and children.
Also our family has worked with the Homeless services & Student services of the UPLIFT ministry for over 20 years. Both these groups have tremendous positive impact on those they serve. Here are links to their websites so you can learn more:
About GenerateHope -
Our Mission - We serve San Diego’s sex trafficking victims by offering a real way out. GenerateHope is a faith-based organization providing long-term, comprehensive programs to women who have been sexually trafficked, so that they are able to reintegrate into society and walk powerfully into their futures.
To date, over 120 women have experienced the acceptance, care, and resources within the GenerateHope system.
Our Vision - GenerateHope’s vision is to see survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation recover from the abuse and trauma of the sex trade. It is also our goal to educate our community and work with local law enforcement and task forces to eradicate human trafficking in San Diego. http://generatehope.org/
Urgent COVID Related Needs for GenerateHope - Funds for more emergency rescues!
About UPLIFT - Urban People Living in Faith & Trust - Uplifting San Diego’s inner-city communities by transforming the lives of people in need with Homeless Services & Student Services.

UPLIFT URGENT COVID related needs include:
- funding for added staff & equipment for transitioning our FREE Kids At Heart Tutoring from site based to virtual platform to support distance learning for low income students, who are especially at risk of falling behind in school right now.
- flex funding for homeless housing support for COVID Convention Center residents' and homeless motel families' placement. About 1200 unsheltered there. No pressure!
