The ACSC is celebrating its Second Annual LGBT Bowl-A-Thon! The event is expected to be a fun-packed fundraising occasion that appeals to adults, youth and families looking for a group activity focusing on empowering youth and a philanthropic cause.
Over 100 bowlers and supporters are expected to join us at Bowlerama at the Bayfield Mall on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 from 11:30am – 2:30pm. But before they lace up their bowling shoes, this merry band of bowlers will spend two months fundraising amongst their personal networks, professional contacts, colleagues and neighbours, with the goal of raising enough money to assist in programming for the youth groups.
Teams are made up of 6 bowlers, you can Captain a team, join a team, or request to be part of a team by contacting Dale at youth@acsc.ca. We encourage teams to have a theme and dress up in costumes with an awesome team name!
In a fun-filled afternoon, bowlers will participate in a popular family recreation with the understanding that they are becoming champions for LGBT communities and joining in the fight for equity and inclusion.
It is our intention to have this be our LGBT youth program’s signature fundraising event in Simcoe County. We hope to build on the momentum of past years and increase the profile of LGBT Youth Connection groups.
