Join Literacy New Jersey’s 3 Day Literacy Challenge. 

LNJ helps recent immigrants and basic literacy students increase their English speaking, reading and writing skills so that they can improve their lives.  Students are able to get better jobs, pass their road test to get a driver’s license, study for their GED or just improve their ability to read documents and street signs.

"I started taking classes in September, over the last few months, I noticed that I could communicate well because my grammar and pronunciation/accent is getting better. I started to trust myself more and read something out loud without getting nervous that I was making a mistake or saying something the wrong way. I am not scared to speak and say what I want now. I feel more motivated to work on my writing skills and I know I need a lot more help with spelling. But, I know that it can be done." ~ Sheren, ESL Student  

Since post pandemic, Literacy NJ Gloucester County has had many great achievments with their program and students. Here is to name a few...

• Started an in person HSE reading/writing class as well as four ESL in person classes in all levels. First time post pandemic that most of our classes are able to be offered in person. 
• One of our HSE students passed their GED and is currently registering for college in the Fall with hopes of persuing a job in the field he is passionate about. 
• Have two students who are well on their way to becoming United States Citizens!
