Join Literacy New Jersey’s 5 Day Literacy Challenge.
Hello Everyone,
As you may know, I recently started working for a non-profit called, Literacy NJ. This organization provides free instruction to adults who need help with reading, writing, math and speaking English. Trained volunteer tutors work with adults to help them improve their language and literacy skills so they can reach their life goals. During the pandemic we’ve all worked together to make the impossible possible. Almost 2,000 students have engaged in remote learning and 539 volunteer tutors have become online instructors. COVID could not stop this amazing team of students and tutors.
Our students are from all different backgrounds and have many goals including obtaining a better job, helping their children with schoolwork, pursuing a degree, or obtaining citizenship. They are committed and eager to learn and grateful for the programs we offer and for the support. The dedication of our team has inspired me to make sure that we can continue these wonderful programs. We appreciate your generosity as Literacy NJ continues to navigate the changing world. What never changes is your kindness, commitment, and dedication to our students.
