Today I ask for your support so that all youth may grow Strong by Nature at Merrohawke. Like many others, Merrohawke showed me how to be strong and steadfast in my convictions.

From an early age, I began my adventures aboard the Erica Lee. First as a participant and then as part of the crew. Because I learned the importance of respecting natural resources, I implemented my own academic research on improving fishing regulations for fishermen in the northeast and co-authored several papers on invasive species throughout my college career.  

I have watched Merrohawke grow for over 20 years and I am proud to be both an alumna and educator for Merrohawke. As an educator at Merrohawke I am able to inspire curiosity and highlight the truly limitless possibilities found in exploring the natural world-- just as former Merrohawke educators did for me as a child. 

All funds raised during Merrohawke's Spring Fundraiser will support our program development, as well as professional development and financial aid for students. Thanks to donors like you, Merrohawke has been able to provide financial aid to all that have applied-- no child has ever been turned away. It is our wish to provide scholarship assistance to every child that needs it, just as we have always been able to do. 

We know that this summer, after a spring spent in isolation, indoors and plugged into electronic screens for distance learning, children and teens need outdoor time with their friends at Merrohawke more than ever before.
