This year, we’re hosting a golf outing in honor of our beautiful mother, who we lost to metastatic breast cancer on May 6, 2021. All proceeds from this event will be donated to METAvivor, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding critical research for stage IV metastatic breast cancer (MBC).

While breast cancer awareness is widespread, the focus often tends to be on early detection and prevention. The reality is that only 2-3% of funding goes to research for metastatic breast cancer, the stage of cancer that has already spread and is terminal. METAvivor is one of the few organizations dedicated entirely to the fight against stage IV breast cancer. They use 100% of donations for research and aim to turn this terminal disease into a manageable chronic illness. In addition to research, METAvivor provides education, advocacy, and support to patients and works tirelessly to raise awareness of metastatic breast cancer.
