Margaritas for MBC is a one-day community fundraiser bringing Chicagoland restaurants, bars, breweries, and supporters together to raise critical funds for metastatic breast cancer research. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, participating locations will serve a featured margarita and donate a portion of sales directly to METAvivor, the only U.S. nonprofit dedicated exclusively to funding research for Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. The idea is simple: turn one margarita into more time. Metastatic breast cancer is the only stage of breast cancer that takes lives, yet less than 5% of breast cancer research funding is dedicated specifically to metastatic disease. Margaritas for MBC was created to help change that by turning something as simple as grabbing a drink with friends into meaningful support for research. Last year, Margaritas for MBC raised more than $13,000 for metastatic breast cancer research, and this year we’re hoping to make an even bigger impact.
