October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year I'm fundraising to support a cause that's affected so many, including my mom.
My mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019. By 2020, she was in remission. But in 2024, her cancer came back, and it had metastasized to stage IV. After multiple treatments and rounds of testing, she's found a medication that is working, and I'm so grateful to say that today she's showing no evidence of disease
There are breast cancer fundraisers everywhere, but most of the money goes toward awareness, prevention, and early detection, which are all amazing causes. However, less than 13% goes to research on metastatic (stage IV) breast cancer, the stage that people like my mom are living with.
That's why I'm raising money for METAvivor, the only nonprofit that exclusively funds metastatic breast cancer research. 100% of the net proceeds from this fundraiser go to their research grants.
Every amount helps, whether that's a donation or sharing my page with someone who might give. Thank you so much for your support!
