Hi!  Please help me raise some much needed funds for metastatic breast cancer research  

By the numbers:

• About 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime.

• Roughly 20–30% of people initially diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer will eventually develop metastatic disease.

• About 6–10% are diagnosed with Stage IV disease from the very beginning.

• An estimated 115–117 people die every day in the U.S. from metastatic breast cancer.

• MBC is responsible for virtually all breast cancer deaths.

• And yet, LESS THAN 5% of breast cancer research funding is dedicated to MBC!!!!

We can, and MUST, do better.

Living with MBC means a lifetime of treatment to slow the disease, extend life, and maintain quality of life.

But here’s the brutal reality: treatment options are limited. When they stop working, there may be fewer options. Eventually, metastatic breast cancer is fatal.

So we need more effective treatments.
We need better-tolerated treatments.
We need more options when one treatment stops working.
And we need more research focused specifically on metastatic disease.

Because behind every statistic is a person.

A mother. A daughter. A wife. A sister. A friend.

And right now, one of those people is me.
