Our sweet Amy “Jekka” Funderburk Lloyd, 40, passed away an hour before midnight on February 8, 2022, in Collierville, TN, after a long and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Jekka was born on August 16, 1981, in Memphis, TN to Jerry Neal Funderburk and Amy Harvey. She was a kind, compassionate, and loving mother; wife, daughter, sister and loyal friend to so many. She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Neal Funderburk; grandparents Neal and Louise Funderburk, and Mary and Ward Harvey. She is survived by her husband and son, Gregory and William Leo Lloyd of Germantown, TN; mother, Amy Harvey of Collierville, TN; and brother, Jerrad Neal Funderburk, of Atlanta, GA; along with her extended Lloyd family and many friends.

Her beautiful smile could light up your soul and her laugh could make even the most serious of situations, comical. She loved listening to music and watching her favorite movies with family and friends. She always had an impeccable eye for fashion and her beauty was beyond compare.

Jekka’s love of fashion came from her early career in modeling where she had an opportunity to travel the world and live in New York for a time. She returned to Memphis and earned a bachelor’s degree of Professional Studies in Fashion Merchandising at the University of Memphis. It’s also around this time that she met her soulmate, and the love of her life, Greg. They were married in Germantown, TN in 2012 at St. George Episcopal Church.

Three years later Jekka and Greg welcomed their beautiful son, William. William was her life, her everything, her entire world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her son’s face… the pure joy radiating from her could fill the room and immerse your soul. Jekka wanted nothing more for William than to have a wonderful life; filled with love and happiness. Over the last few years, while still in treatment, Jekka managed to continue volunteering at the West Clinic where she helped raise contributions for Susan G. Komen, the American Cancer Society, and METAvivor.

Help us continue her legacy of lifting up others like her and consider donating to a cause that was near and dear to Jekka's heart!
