Spring 2019 while attending an event at my sons school I was introduced to a young boy in my oldest sons class named Julian. My oldest son ran around the corner and asked me if I could take a picture of him and Julian. During this picture I noticed Julian proudly wearing his Cubs hat. 

After meeting with Julian's parents I found out that Julian was eager to play baseball but unfortunately no house team to support a young boy with Cerebral Palsey.  I knew instantly that he would be a perfect fit on my youngest boys' house league.  This league was a perfect pace for young boys learning the game and was Coach pitch.  With his parents permission, we got him signed up and playing ball.

Over the season Julian developed his skills batting.  He began his season with coach and parent assistance to hitting solo. He finished the season hitting the ball solo and running the bases all while the crowd, his teammates and his couches cheered him on.  My heart was bursting with pride that this little man had come so far so quickly. 

Julian now finds his love for baseball and the game at Miracle Field.  It is so crucial that our community continue to provide opportunities like playing ball at Miracle Field to all special needs children.  Please consider donating to this very special fundraiser.
