Program Summary

Minds Matter's mission is to help make higher education possible for accomplished high school students from low income families.

There are many different roles you can play in a student’s journey and I chose the role of being a mentor. I am paired with a Sophomore student and I will continue to be her mentor through the rest of high school to see her off to college. These students are dedicating their time on Saturday mornings to do 2 hrs of test prep, then an additional 2 hrs with their mentor to work on self-development and education goals.

Best part is that this program is completely FREE FOR THE STUDENTS. Education is expensive and the financial burden is often a barrier to a student success. Unfortunately nothing is truly free. In the season of giving, I wanted to ask all of you when you are deciding how to give back this year to consider Minds Matter.
