Join one or all five Move for Change activities – your registration covers the whole week of Move for Change! Once you complete your registration, you'll be able to sign up for the activities you want to join.

Kickoff Walk/Run around Sloan's Lake | Saturday, June 1st - 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Join the first event of Move for Change week with a Walk/Run around Sloan's Lake with a picnic provided afterwards! Please meet at the picnic site located near Tennyson St. and W. 26th Ave. for check-in between 10:30 AM - 10:50 AM. Our 2.5 mile walk/run will begin at 11:00 AM. While you enjoy the picnic upon completing the loop, FIT & NU will be offering FREE Body Composition Analysis. A Body Composition Analysis is an accurate analysis of your body fat mass, muscle mass, and water levels taken with FIT & NU’s InBody570 Body Composition analyzer. 

Bootcamp at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater* | Sunday, June 2nd – 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM

Get ready to push the limits with Personal Trainer, Jeremiah Sanchez of Loveland Athletic Club. This Bootcamp features a full body workout on the stairs of Red Rocks Amphitheater and will surely be the best kick start to your Sunday. Check in begins at 8:30 AM on the stairs – look for a group of people wearing bright green attire! We’ll begin our workout at 9:00 AM. Please bring plenty of water, energy fueling snacks will be provided.

Bike Ride around Wash Park* | Tuesday, June 4th – 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Led by mpowered’s very own bicycle guru, Brian Palmeri, (who also happens to be our Financial Education Manager), this 2.2 mile bike ride around the Washington Park Roadway Loop will be a rejuvenating way to start the work day. Please meet in the available parking lot located at 600 S Marion Pkwy, near cross streets S. Downing St. and E. Exposition Ave. for check-in at 7:00 AM – look for mpowered staff wearing bright green shirts! We’ll have energy fueling snacks, but please bring a water bottle. Yoga at Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver | Wednesday, June 5th – 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Rosie Christian, yoga and nutrition expert, will be leading an all-levels yoga class at one of our partner sites – Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver! Get ready to embrace your inner yogi and feel a sense of relief and grounding after this yoga class. Check in begins at 5:30 PM with class beginning at 6:00 PM. Make sure to bring a water bottle and your own yoga mat.

Grand Finale Happy Hour at Local 46 | Friday, June 7th – 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

It’s time to celebrate the goals that YOU, our Move for Change participants, have achieved during the week of fighting financial stress through physical activity. Come to Local 46 to enjoy a taco bar from El Camino and a cash bar where 10% of sales on select drinks will be generously donated back to mpowered. Check-in begins at 5:00 PM with a short program beginning at 6:00 PM. We’ll be giving away prizes for different milestones like most Move for Change activities attended, most money raised by a Peer-to-Peer fundraiser, and most Move for Change spirit. See you there!
