Support a good cause and encourage my fitness goals

Through my work, I am learning about how physical health and financial health are connected. Please support me as I share some insights about those connections and walk my way to my step goal of 300,000 steps to Move for Change!

mpowered is a non-profit organization equipping and empowering people to transform their financial futures. We provide financial coaching, financial education, and debt management programs. We are client-led in our approach, basing our sessions on the specific goals of each client. We provide our services in a judgment-free space that builds confidence for our participants. 

In 2017 mpowered helped our community in many ways to reduce debt, increase savings, improve credit scores, reduce financial stress, build financial confidence, and secure safe and affordable banking products.

  • Provided nearly 3,000 individual coaching sessions
  • Served more than 1,600 clients through Financial Coaching
  • Presented 127 Financial Education classes to 1,298 participants
  • Helped 167 clients pay down aprox. $800k in debt through the Debt Management Program

My normal day generates about 5,000 steps. During Move for Change I pledge to double my steps to 300,000 for the month. We know that physical activity and health help to reduce financial stress and financial health reduces negative health symptoms and improve overall physical health.
