Taylor Richards & Conger is raising money as a Giver of Hope

In 1986, Taylor Richards & Conger (TRC) was established as a premier destination for men’s luxury fashion in Charlotte. In the 39 years that have passed, we’ve built a reputable business and our clients have turned into many great friends. We share in your joy for the incredible things that have happened in your life and listen carefully when serious illness or tragedy touches you or someone you love.

When Kenny Kahn, a longtime friend and client of Taylor Richards & Conger, approached Lyn Conger about supporting his dream of helping cancer patients heal through the emotional power of music, he struck a resonant chord with Lyn, as his older brother, Joe, succumbed to Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer in 2004. Lyn and the TRC team quickly decided to join the fight against this insidious disease.

Cancer can be a silent but deadly disease. Richard Pattison, a former partner at TRC, offered “I felt great and had no idea I was not well until learning my PSA readings were double the norm. A biopsy revealed 4 active tumors on my prostate that needed medical attention.” In total remission now, he thanks his urologist for detecting his cancer and is happy that he chose Proton Beam Therapy for his treatment.

Whether it affects you directly, a friend, a colleague, or a family member, cancer affects all of us and could be in your future. We are inspired by how our friends and clients have contributed to our communities. Along the way, we’ve also tried to do our part. Doug, our longtime salesman says, “As someone who has witnessed the brutal effects of cancer on three family members, what Kenny’s Foundation is doing is phenomenal. Anything that can be done to add further research that puts us closer to eradicating cancer is a great thing”.

This year we are exceptionally proud to support the Musicland Gift Foundation (501c3) and their efforts to support the Supportive Oncology Department at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute.

The TRC Family has the honor of being Givers of Hope to support the efforts of LCI in creating a national model for cancer survivorship. Contributions will further support the vital efforts of the Supportive Oncology Department. TRC will be contributing to Musicland and its Givers of Hope Initiative. We ask you to join us and contribute to this vital part of our community.

A donation to the Musicland - Givers of Hope Initiative is not just a contribution to one institution—it’s an investment in hope, healing, and dignity for all cancer patients, everywhere.

Funds raised will support vital and robust cancer survivorship programs, including cancer rehabilitation, senior oncology, palliative care, navigation, nutritional counseling, psycho-oncology, physical therapy, healing touch massage, and art and music therapy.

With Gratitude,

The Family at Taylor Richards & Conger
