Dear friends,
This June, I will be playing 100 holes in Golf Fight Cancer's 2026 New England Golf Marathon, a unique fundraising event that combines a love of golf and the desire to give back. Golfers of all skill levels play 100 holes to support cancer-related organizations.
I will be playing again for the Hockomock Area YMCA Team LIVESTRONG benefiting our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program. As a staff member of the YMCA, I have seen firsthand the impact of the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA programs have on all participants that take part in them during their journey with cancer. On a personal note, my mother is a graduate of a 12-week LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program and seeing her physical, mental, emotional and social wellness improve is why I am playing to make sure the funds are raised so others like her can take part at no cost to them or their family.
LIVESTRONG AT THE YMCA is a physical activity program designed for adult cancer survivors who have become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. The goal is to help participants build muscle mass and muscle strength, increase flexibility and endurance, and improve functional ability. The program is 12-weeks in length and meets twice a week for 1.5 hours and includes a 12-week YMCA family membership. Equally as important as the physical improvements, are the relationships and emotional support system created among the participants throughout the program.
I will be raising critical funds and ask you to support me by making a gift. My goal is a minimum of $4,000, and a donation of any amount will make a difference.
