Golf Fights Cancer year 3!  Playing for LiveStrong at the Hockomock YMCA

This year, Scott and Judy are once again teaming up for Golf Fights Cancer, taking on an ambitious challenge—100 holes of golf each in a single day—to support a program that is deeply personal to us: LiveStrong at the Hockomock YMCA.

We’re proud to be playing as Team Ammidown as part of the LiveStrong at the Hockomock YMCA team.

This is Judy’s third year and Scott’s second year participating in the Golf Fights Cancer marathon. Each playing 100 holes of golf in one day is challenging—but it’s nothing compared to what people diagnosed with cancer must endure.

This year is especially meaningful to Judy as she is dedicating this effort to a milestone—turning 80 and remaining active, because of the LiveStrong at the Hockomock YMCA program. After a cancer diagnosis, this program helped me regain my strength and independence. Now, we play and fundraise so others can benefit. The need is just as great today as it was when the Hockomock YMCA began the program began in 2010.

Scott joined the effort to help expand our impact and ensure this vital program continues for years to come.

LiveStrong at the Hockomock YMCA is a free, 12‑week program for those who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families. The program is dedicated to helping participants regain strength and muscle mass after cancer treatments. It provides a supportive and safe environment to accomplish a return to activity.

Our fundraising goal is $8,000, and truly, every gift—large or small—makes a difference. Your support directly helps people recovering from cancer reclaim their lives.
