Father, scientist, educator.  We are all mortal, and we all face health issues as we get older; if not now, then likely later.  As a father of 2 young men, it is my hope that the funds we all raise here go toward significant improvements in diagnostics (detection), treatment, and identification of causal genetic and environmental factors (*preventative* measures) by the time our children are old enough to face down their own health issues.  Every measure, no matter how big or small, helps.
