I always heard of "No Shave November," but did not know what the purpose was, aside from men having an excuse to let their beards grow for a month. As it turns out, it's about much more than that.

It's about raising awareness and funds to help fight Colorectal and other forms of cancer. The idea is to save the money you would normally spend on shaving supplies and donate to the cause instead.

Some of you may not spend much money on shaving supplies, so I invite you to donate to the cause. I will be working to raise $300 over the next month.  Any amount helps.  

Meanwhile, I, and many other men, will be letting the whiskers grow so there can be more conversations and awareness when someone asks "Why do men do that in November?"
