Our recruit academy class is taking part in No-Shave November because this cause means something personal to many of us. Each of us has known or knows someone—a family member, a friend, or a fellow first responder—who has or is currently battling cancer, and we want to honor their strength and courage. By setting aside our razors for the month, we’re doing more than just breaking uniform routine—we’re standing together to raise awareness and spark conversations about cancer prevention and men’s health. The money we would normally spend on shaving will go toward supporting cancer research and helping those currently fighting the disease. As a class, this is our way of showing unity, compassion, and our commitment to making a difference beyond the academy.
