Being apart of a huge D1 Collegiate Rugby team, culture didn't always include being the most cleanly or put together group of guys. That's why, every year that November came around, a bunch of us would participate in No Shave November as a sort of "testosterone check." Year after year we got more teammates and freinds to show off their mangy facial hair that left girls and professors speachless. Probably because they were so impressed, NOT disgusted.

After a few cycles I started to learn more about what No Shave November was actually about and the improtance of spreading awareness while raising money for the cause. Personal to me, I have had family members, friends, and teammates that have been affected by the difficulty of the disease. I have learned that it is a back and fourth lifelong battle that unfairly finds the upper hand most of the time. 

Starting this year I am teaming up with my University of Delaware Rugby Team to officially join the fight and continue to let our luscious beards grow. Our goal is to reach as many friends, families, sponsors, and teams as we can in order to Scrum for a Cure and make a difference in the fight!
