{Reason for Participating in No-Shave November}
I do No Shave November with Man Up To Cancer’s team for Fight Colorectal Cancer because I know what it costs when men wait.
When I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, it opened my eyes to something I’d never paid attention to: so many men don’t know when to get screened, or they know and put it off. I was one of those guys who never thought about it until I had no choice.
November gives us a reason to start the conversation. Every unshaved face is a chance for someone to ask, “Why the beard?” and for us to say, “Because you should get checked.” The money raised keeps that work going the other eleven months of the year, long after the beards come off.
The more men who understand their health and know when to get screened, the fewer we lose to this disease. That’s why I’m in. Will you join me or chip in?
