We're the Fight CRC RATS: Research Advocates Training and Support ... and we're growing our hair to help fight colorectal cancer!
The RATS are a team of colorectal cancer survivors, caregivers, and advocates trained through Fight Colorectal Cancer to bring the patient voice directly into cancer research. We work alongside scientists, clinicians, and policymakers to help shape research priorities, improve clinical trials, and ensure that the needs and experiences of patients are represented in decisions about the future of cancer care.
Our mission is simple: Better research. Better treatments. Better outcomes for patients.
This No Shave November, we're putting down the razors and growing some seriously questionable facial hair to raise awareness and funds for cancer prevention, research, and patient support.
Colorectal cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer deaths, and diagnoses among younger adults continue to rise. Research has brought tremendous progress, but there's much more work to do.
