NYSX: AN ORIGIN STORY

Lights up on a barren landscape with a road intersecting it. There is a single tree upstage left. ROSS and SHANE are revealed standing center stage.

ROSS: Hey Shane, I think I am going to start a theatre company.

SHANE: Hey, I like theatre, too.

ROSS: I know! We are so perfect for each other!!

SHANE: Maybe we should get married

ROSS: Well, that’s not legal…yet. [discreet foreshadowing] But plays are totally legal.

SHANE: Awesome! Let’s put on a show!
