As winter grips Hudson and the lakes freeze over, brave plungers jump into the chilly waters of Oakdale Lake to back three really important local causes: Hudson Youth Department Waterfront Program, Hudson Fire Department, and Perfect Ten After School Program, All funds raised will be evenly divided between each organization. The fire department will use their share to host the Columbia County Volunteer Firefighters Association convention. The youth department uses their share to help pay for lifeguard training and offer extended hours for free summer fun at the beach, while Perfect Ten uses their portion to help fund swimming lessons at summer camp for their girls.
Outrageous Costumes are strongly encouraged for all our intrepid plungers and once again we'll have a costume contest and prizes for the lucky winners. We will announce the winners at the end of the the event.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged at the beach for what is sure to be a fun and hilarious event!
