As a young girl I was introduced to Ms Hollister in elementary school as my first and only ever cheer coach. Eventually she became more than just my cheer coach and became so much more for the kids around me. YOu see hurricane ANdrew hit and devastated the Homestead, Fl community. There really wasnt much for us to do, then my first ever best friend invited me to go hang out at KIX with Ms Stacy! Turns out she was Ms Hollister and had started KIX as a way to introduce kids to Christ! It was the first time I really became to understand Gods sacrifice and his word in a way that I can process best as a child. Made my love and curiousity grown henceforth. Throughout the years I have watched KIX grow into such a beautiful ministry that has helped I dare say hundreds of kids learn about JESUS. Everything taught, time shared, memories created, and friends that become family you can count on are just the very icing on the cake when it comes to the KIX ministry. The relationship with Christ I have been able to establish that will remain forever is why I am going Over The Edge and raising funds for KIX. So whatever you quantity great or small will go to assuring KIX will remain strong in communities with much need.
