Magnolia has been a gift before she was even born. She has already overcome so many odds and continues to prove to us that she is here with purpose. Magnolia, or Maggie for short, was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Noonan Syndrome. Her diagnosis came just a few weeks after birth and immediately placed her in a critical care environment. Maggie has spent countless days and hours at Lurie Children’s Hospital. She has gone through various treatments and procedures to support her eating and weight gain. She is currently learning what life is like with a gastrostomy tube while also receiving advanced research medication to help support her conditions. Through it all, Maggie lives surrounded by the love of her parents and beloved family. She lights up when music plays on her Toniebox, stands out with her beautiful locks of hair, and brings joy to anyone who gets to spend even a moment with her. Maggie is truly a gift, and we want to help ensure that children like her receiving care at Lurie Children’s Hospital are supported in every way possible. One part of the magic this fundraising effort can offer is helping families avoid the added stress of finances, whether that means travel expenses or short- and long-term stays while their child receives care at Lurie’s. This foundation is doing everything it can to provide relief and support to families facing the unimaginable with their child.
