Magnolia was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Noonan Syndrome just weeks after birth, leading to an immediate stay in critical care. Since then, Maggie has spent countless days at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, receiving ongoing treatments and procedures to support her heart and growth. She is currently adjusting to life with a gastrostomy tube while also receiving advanced research medication to help manage her conditions.
Through it all, Maggie is surrounded by the love of her parents and family. She lights up when music plays on her Toniebox, stands out with her beautiful locks of hair, and brings joy to everyone lucky enough to spend time with her. Maggie is truly a gift, and we want to help ensure families at Lurie Children’s Hospital receive the support they need.
Our 2026 Owl Ride
Over the last six years, Haley, Hope, and I have taken an annual race trip together, with our adventures taking us to Las Vegas, Duluth, Nashville, Michigan, Arizona, and Madison and this year’s trip will be extra special. This August, we’ll be riding in the 2026 Owl Ride which is a two-day, 111-mile roundtrip from Chicago to Valparaiso, Indiana benefitting the Jackson Chance Foundation in loving honor of Hope’s daughter and our biggest inspiration!
The Jackson Chance is a Chicago-based nonprofit that helps cover transportation costs for families with babies at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital. Jackson’s Chance provides parking passes (and if you’ve ever tried parking in downtown Chicago you know that’s no small thing), which the Staab's have directly benefited from. The foundation offers relief and support to families facing the unimaginable.
