Periods are a fact of life. When you don’t have access to the product you need, when you need it can mean missing out on, school or work and staying connected to your community. Period poverty is incredibly isolating, but even more so for folks who are vulnerable. The findings from United Way BC’s Period Promise Research Project indicated more than half of people who menstruate in BC have struggled to purchase products at some point in their life.
