This year, our efforts are in honor of Tess. Most of you know her, or are at least familiar with her. Tess came to live with us from a rescue in Texas. She was able to learn much with us, but ultimately she made it clear (through aggressive behaviors with Finn and others) that she needed at different living situation, so Tess has left to find her perfect home and pack. We (well, OK I, because Finn was struggling) miss her, but I also know that there is a perfect home for her - which really is the purpose of rescue and humane societies all over the world. It's why we do what we do for Kitsap Humane. Not every placement is the perfect one, but for organizations like Kitsap Humane and rescues the world over... it is always the ultimate goal... and thankfully when that doesn't happen they step up to help fix that.

So for this year... we thank ALL of the rescues and especially Kitsap Humane Society for never giving up on any of the beautiful souls because there is a perfect match for every sweet pup and kitty.
