Location

On the USM campus in Gorham Maine.

The event will start at the hub between the USM baseball and softball fields!

Parking

The parking fee is $1 an hour or $6 for the day. 

The lots available for participants will be lots G13b and G13c near Hannaford Field. Lots G14 and G12 will also be made available and are located behind Philippi Hall on campus. See the USM Parking Website for more detailed information.

Kids!

Children 12 & under can participate for free with a registered parent/guardian.

Parents/guardians can purchase extra t-shirts and lunch tickets for participating kids during registration.  

Food, Fun, and More!

Join us for food, fun, and more!

Fruit, snacks, and light refreshments will be available in the festival area before the walk begins.

There will also be lunch, music, and games in the festival area post-walk. 

Lunch tickets can be purchased for $5 and include a choice of hot dog, burger, or veggie burger; chips and a drink. 

T-Shirts

An official Paula D. Hodgdon TrailblazHer Walk presented by Geico Local Office event t-shirt will be provided to all participants who register before our pre-registration cutoff date of 4/8/24.

The cost to register for the event is $35 (you can still register after this date, but a t-shirt will not be provided). 

Additional T-shirts are available to purchase during registration ($20). 

Course Details

The course is approximately 1.5 miles though the USM Gorham Campus and sidewalks of the town of Gorham.

Who is Paula D. Hodgdon?

Glad you asked! Paula D. Hodgdon was a coach, faculty member, and administrator for over 30 years, and left a lasting impact on USM women’s athletics. She coached field hockey, basketball, lacrosse, advised the ski team at USM, and had an overall collegiate coaching record of 214-177-58 when she retired. Hodgdon, a true TrailblazHer, was inducted into the USM Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998. 

I can't make the event. Can I just make a donation?

Yes! You can make a donation by clicking on the 'Donate' tab at the top of the website.

Are dogs welcome?

Yes. Please use a leash at all times and clean up after your dog. 

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes. 

Is the course accessible to someone with a mobility impairment?

Generally, yes, though there are some hills throughout. The course runs along the USM Gorham campus roads as well as a sidewalk in the town of Gorham.
