Play4JA WNY Description

Play4JA WNY was created in response to Covid 19 and its impact on how we as a community gather for a cause. 

Instead of coming together for an in-person Bowl-A-Thon event, or canceling our event, we are going to bring the FUN to you and your colleagues where you are safe at home or at work. During Play4JA WNY companies recruit associates to participate in a series of events for prizes. 

There will be a suggested minimum fundraising threshold of $50 per participant to gain access to our Play4JA WNY month-long activity calendar. We encourage each participant to raise more funds to help support much needed of JA Programming for WNY students. JA programs deal with real issues like workforce readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship so that young people not only understand their opportunities in life but can also take advantage of those opportunities.

Play4JA, presented by Bank of America, is JA’s largest annual peer-to-peer fundraiser. Proceeds from Play4JA help JA to provide financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurial programs to thousands of Western New York students. This important work still needs to be done.

Just as in years past, this will be an event sure to boost employee’s spirits and encourage connection. Something needed now more than ever. We know that things look different this year for many, and with that in mind, we’ve created a format that can be flexible to fit with whatever your company environment looks like right now. Even in these uncertain times, Junior Achievement is dedicated to delivering programs to young people, whether in-person, remotely, online, or by video. But to do this, we need your help.
