Did you know that I participated in the Junior Achievement program in junior high school? Well, that is an experience I've not forgotten! It was an after school program where we learned what was required to start our own business, create a product, and market and sell that product. Our product was Rock Salt! Go figure! Only in western New York... needless to say, it was a success!
Did you also know that I am a former NFG team captain of the JA Bowl-A-Thon? I coached 30 teams to be the top team fundraiser - back in the 1990s - I still have the trophy!
Please join me in helping to raise funds for JA programs that inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. JA equips young people with the employment and entrepreneurship skillsets and mindsets they need to succeed. By building abilities and nurturing self-belief, JA prepares youth for the future of work, ensures they have the tools to be financially capable adults, and teaches them to think entrepreneurially. I'm proud to say that I'm an alumnae of Junior Achievment.
