Heart & Sole Walk/5K Run for Animals

This year has been quite a challenge. Due to the global pandemic, like many people, I have been working at home since mid-March. This has been an adjustment not only for us, but also for our pets. I am thankful to be home all day with my cats. Sadly, my sweet kitty Flower recently passed away. She was over 18.5 years old. So I was even more thankful to be able to spend so much more time with her. Also due to the pandemic, we volunteers were not able to spend any time at the shelter for several months. Some of us offered support to the staff in other ways, just to let them know that we were thinking about them and we appreciated their continued work with the animals every day. The Potter League holds a very special place in my heart. I love volunteering there and being part of such an amazing organization. Also, that is where I adopted all my cats over the years: Zodie (June 1995), Murphy (October 2003), Flower (January 2004), Oscar (September 2004), and Mandy (September 2011). I loved/love them all dearly. Potter pets are the best!

I am so excited to join hundreds of animal lovers and their pets participating in the Potter League's Virtual Heart & Sole Walk/Run for Animals on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
