I used to volunteer  physically with the Humane Society of Charlotte, cleaning kennels and such. In 2012 I suffered a spinal cord injury that left me in a wheelchair and no longer able to help in person, so my focus switched to raising funds. Pet Palooza is such a fun event and a major fundraiser for the HSC. The funds will not only help the animals in their care, but also support the many other programs they offer - Community Cats TNR, Pets for Life, low-cost veterinary wellness services, dog training classes, and more! The HSC has expanded from a no-kill shelter to a great and much-needed resource for the community. Participating in Pet Palooza, even virtually, is a fun and easy way to show you care!
