I believe in the no-kill rescue mission of the Humane Society of Charlotte, and I have fundraised for them and visited them in the past. They are currently trying to build a new clinic building, but they also always need donations to help cover the cost of housing future adoptees and spay/neuter services.

Pet Palooza is a walking event, this year virtual, in which participants pledge to walk one mile during the week of April 19-24. The registration cost counts as a donation toward the fundraiser's goal.
