Europe and South America are two places in the world that have spiritual need, and God is using MoveIn to touch lives through what might seem like ordinary ways, that have extraordinary impact.
Children in the slums of Venezuela are being fed by MoveIners who noticed their hunger. At the same time, youth drawn to gang activities were stopped in their tracks when they encountered Christ, and instead wanted to join MoveIn's efforts in the same slum.
In the north of Sweden, where refugees are being sent to live in harsh surroundings, a school teacher, also with MoveIn in the same region, saw the needs and began to run programs that touch not only the struggling child, but whole families.
In Albania, 2 Roma children were touched by the gospel years ago. Fast forward, and these two are now a couple, running extensive programs for Roma children often shunned from school, while pastoring a church for their own people. One child at a time given the gift of literacy as well as the unconditional love of Christ. A whole village is being transformed by the love of God and His people.
In Paris,France, despite a hostile spiritual atmosphere, many are warming up to the love of God as MoveIners live and work in some difficult parts. They've used hospitality, creativity and using muscial giftings to draw people in and love them, just as they are.
What God is giving our MoveIn friends the courage and call to do is pretty counter-culture in the places they are doing it. They are not supported enough to have funds to accomplish some of their dreams for the needs they are encountering, nor would they have the means for the much needed space for refreshing and encouragement that the annual conference would bring them.
