Preventing homelessness creates healthy communities.

The most cost-effective solution to homelessness is to keep people housed in the first place. That’s why Solid Ground provides a range of Homelessness Prevention services.

In 2020, Solid Ground prevented

875 households from entering homelessness through COVID rental assistance funds and 640 households from entering homelessness through other programs and services, including Diversion, Tenant Services, Homelessness Prevention Case Management, and more.

In 2020, Solid Ground provided

328 households with rapid rehousing and/or permanent housing and 131 households with emergency and transitional shelter. Solid Ground programs work! Families who engage in our JourneyHome Rapid Rehousing, Housing Stability Project, and Homelessness Prevention Case Management programs usually go on to live in permanent housing. In 2020, none of those families returned to homelessness.
