I am running my 3rd 10K for HER! For Danai! because of Rett Syndrome my Dana cannot walk or run! I know one day we will cross that finish line together. Many times I have mentioned to her that one year she will go with me and we will cross it together and she gives me the biggest smile ever. Until then, I have promised her that I will continue to run for her and raise awarenes for her and all the girls and boys with Rett. I know that cure will come soon! 

This year (2017) has been a hard year, health wise, for Danai.  Many times I felt like I was going to lose her, that she was not going to make it out of the hospital with us. She was in there way too many times this year. Danai is strong and she has pulled through and  has shown me to not give up.  So here I am running another 6.2 miles for her. The first year I ran this 10K- I did not cross that finish line, so when I crossed it last year, it was a HUGE achievement for me. I cant run, but I run to raise awareness for Rett Syndrome, to raise money to be able to fund research for a cure, but most importantly for HER. 

Of course my friends Diego and Jiroko are running for her again. I cant ever thank them enough for what they do for Danai. This race, no matter the miles, is no joke! 

Our individual fundraising goal is $500 per member for a total of $1500 for the team. This is when you come in. Your donations help fund reseach for the cure we have all been waiting for! Your donation is also tax-deductible! Any dollar counts towards our goal!

¡Estoy corriendo mi 3er  carrera de 10K por ELLA! Para Danai! ¡Debido al síndrome de Rett, mi Dana no puede caminar o correr! Sé que algún día vamos a cruzar esa línea de meta juntas. Muchas veces le he mencionado que un año ella irá conmigo y la cruzaremos juntas y ella me da la sonrisa más grande que haya existido. Hasta entonces, he prometido que continuaré corriendo por ella y conzientizar por ella y por todas las niñas y niños con Rett. ¡Sé que la cura llegará pronto!

Este año (2017) ha sido un año difícil, en términos de salud, para Danai. Muchas veces sentí que iba a perderla, que no iba a salir del hospital con nosotros. Estubo ayi demasiadas veces. Danai es fuerte y ha salido adelante y me ha demostrado a no darme por vencida. Así que aquí estoy corriendo otras 6.2 millas para ella. El primer año que corri esta carrera - no crucé esa línea final, así que cuando lo crucé el año pasado, fue un logro ENORME para mí. No puedo correr, pero lo ago para crear conciencia sobre el síndrome de Rett, para recaudar dinero y poder financiar investigaciones para una cura, pero la razon mas importante es por ELLA!  

Por supuesto, mis amigos Diego y Jiroko están corriendo por ella otra vez. Nunca puedo agradecerles lo suficiente por lo que hacen por Danai. ¡Esta carrera, sin importar los miles, no es una broma! Nuestro objetivo individual de recaudación de fondos es de $ 500 por miembro para un total de $ 1500 para el equipo.
