The best way to support team Joyful Julia is to come to the zoo and walk with us!

This year marks our family’s seventh Puget Sound Buddy Walk since Julia was born, and we would love to fill the zoo with friends and family who love her. Come meet Julia’s friends, celebrate the incredible Down syndrome community, and be part of a joyful day of inclusion, connection, and fun.

We usually pack a sack lunch, walk together around noon, and stay afterward to visit the animals and explore the zoo for the rest of the day. It is always one of our favorite family days of the year, and we would love to share it with you.

The walk begins with a wonderful bagpiper with Down syndrome playing us out through the zoo—a joyful and meaningful start to our celebration.

If you are unable to join us in person but would still like to support team Joyful Julia, a donation of any amount is always appreciated. Every registration and donation helps the Down Syndrome Center of Puget Sound continue supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
